Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. He is considered to be one of the top American tight ends of all time and has the NFL record for the most receiving yards among every tight end. He is third in all time for the amount of receiving yards.

Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. Gonzalez has appeared as a guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame show prior to FOX NFL SUNSET), which is broadcast each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET through the NFL season.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire in the NFL at the end of 2013 is not the case. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez was signed by the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14 million. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 as did Gonzalez (37 an age) spent last season as one of the NFL's top receivers.
